Free Parking Offer

We know that town centre parking can often be a hot topic of conversation, and Whitley Bay is no exception. There are plenty of places to park, but if you don't know - you don't know! We would all like free parking in our town centres but that just isn't possible for most. However...

Park View Shopping Centre is just a two minute walk from where we are, on the same street. Their roof top car park has loads of spaces and is pretty reasonably priced and secure.

Until the end of this month, we are going to pay for your all day parking ticket at Park View Shopping Centre, when you spend at least £20 in store and show us your valid parking ticket voucher.

We will take £3 off your total bill at Hamiedog and this equates to all day parking at the shopping centre, which is open 8am to 6pm Monday to Saturday, 9am to 4:30pm on Sunday - so effectively you are getting your parking for free. This gives you time to check out the rest of the town, see what else is on offer!

It is just a small gesture which we hope you will take us up on. It is not run in conjunction with any other business, it's just our way of asking you to to visit our special town and spending some time in our shop.

Obviously - terms and conditions. These are simple:

• You park your car at Park View Shopping Centre rooftop car park

• You spend at least £20 at Hamiedog Menswear

• Show us your valid car parking ticket

• We will give you £3 discount off your total Hamiedog bill

• You use that saving to pay for your parking

• If you need to return your purchase and have a refund, we will need to reverse the discount too, unless you have still spent more than £20. After all we still need to make some money!

• This offer can be withdrawn at any time.

Re-opening of Whitley Bay store

We would like to thank you all very much for your patience and kind words while our Whitley Bay shop has been closed due to staff illness.

The good news is that Maz is now feeling much better and we are able to re-open again, back to normal hours with immediate effect. We are also planning on opening on Wednesdays during the summer holidays - more info on that very soon.

Having a family owned business is fantastic but unfortunately when someone becomes poorly, it is really difficult for us to arrange staff cover because we are such a small team.

Whitley Bay Gift Vouchers are now back on sale from Hamiedog and they can also be purchased from Just Canny a few doors down from us, across the road on Park View.

Welcome back to Longsands Clothing

We are really excited to bring you clothing once more from one of the most loved local brands in the north-east: Longsands Clothing Co.

Longsands have been around since 2014 when their first store opened just a few miles from us in Tynemouth, offering a British alternative to the big California surf brands we all know and love.

Since then, they have diversified their offering and have expanded into cafe bars and have two branches of their Apres concept in North Shields and Morpeth.

Some of you may remember that we have stocked Longsands in the past and they were long overdue a return to Hamiedog but that time is now and we have an initial small selection of their latest collection but this is just the start!

Some of their gear is already on our website but we recommend that you call in to our Whitley Bay shop to see the rest of it. Some awesome designs for the summer!
